the male dancer

But pointe class for boys has to be carefully supervised. If the student rolls over on his ankles, it can do much more harm than good. I took pointe class for 2 1/2 years, starting at age 15. I was only allowed to do the barre, no centre or across the floor. The teacher watched me closely and made sure I wasn't hurting myself. The work had a really positive effect on the strength in my feet. If you can fit into them, Bloch Signature Rehearsals are a great shoe. They break in really easily and they last a long time. They only come in Euro Pink, but don't try to dye them. I tried to dye my first pair black and ruined them. My mom was furious. Some male dancers become awesome on pointe. Choreographers have set pieces for men dancing in pointe shoes. There are some character roles in ballet that get danced by men on pointe. The male ballerinas in Ballet Trockodero are amazing. Finally, be prepared. It is going to hurt. But no pain, no gain. I can tell you truthfully that pointe work made me a much better dancer. Snow King Answers to this message:
