To tie them you point your foot and cross the ribbons in the front and then go in the back with the ribbons then flex your foot then go back in the front point go back and fourth until you can't go anymore then tie it in a double knot and then tuck the excess ribbon behind other ribbons. (Note that when crossing ribbons do not go up your leg like you see on TV but stay around your ankle.)
