I am a fairly masculine guy, but I know ballet has made me more graceful. It's probably a generational thing. Your dad was raised to think men should act and walk a certain way. If he met half of my straight friends, he'd probably assume they were gay. You're not likely to change his mind on this. I think the healthiest thing would be for you to just silently forgive him for a prejudice that's deeply ingrained, and move on. All you'll ever do is stay pissed off if you hold on to this argument. >>(I've been there. I love my dad, but there are some conversations we just don't have. I don't want to lose my temper, and it would hurt the old guy too much to have his butt kicked by his ballet-dancing gay son.)>i do ballet and i move more gracefully now but i still get down and dirty in rugby Answers to this message: |
