Season Finale – June 10 - 12

Maximum Dance Company will close its second full season with a heart stopping program featuring a World Premiere create by Mark Morris on Artistic Directors Yanis Pikieris and David Palmer. In addition, World Premieres by the Palmer and Pikieris set to music from Peter Gabriel’s throbbing "Passion" soundtrack and award winning Venezuelan choreographer Louis Armando Castillo will complement the Florida Premiere of Russian choreographer Nickolai Kabaniaev’s Bach de Trois.

Palmer, Pikieris, dancers Lara Murphy, Dominique Angel, Andrea Dawn Shelley, Eric Midgely, Tim Melady and Michel Faigaux will be joined by San Francisco Ballet stand-outs Tina LeBlanc and Julie Diana.

Maximum Dance Company is one of South Florida’s most exciting professional dance companies. Located in Miami, Florida, the company has excellent studios and a wonderful theater, the Miracle Theater. Now preparing for its fourth season, the company has an exciting and varied repertoire from neo-classical to contemporary ballet. Featuring works from American and international choreographers, the 1999 – 2000 season will bring 8 new works to the company, including a new full-length work.

Maximum Dance Company presents four subscription programs and one children’s program annually, five programs in all, both international and national tours are planned for the 1999 – 2000 season. The company is made up of ten permanent members and regular artists of the highest caliber.
