the male dancer
written by Tom Parsons on 01.02. at 04:46:35 Private lessons are prohibitively expensive: you have to pay for theteacher, for the studio, and for the pianist unless the teacher usesrecordings. Because of this, nearly everybody takes classes in agroup. A class lasts, typically, an hour and a half. You shouldfigure on a class a day, three days a week. It's slow work. You stay a beginner for an appallingly long time. And it can be discouraging. The chief problem is to persist. Formore background, have a look at part 2 of the ballet-modern FAQ,reachable via my Web page at http://www.panix.com/~twp. Tom Parsons
