Re: Turnout

When I first started to take ballet lessons and wanted to improve my turnout I always used to think of my feet, but I began to notice an improvement only when I started thinking of my hamstrings.Stand up in first position and think of joining your hamstrings and stretching your legs as much as you can, and stay there for a few minutes. I think this is the best way to improve the turnout.Think always in your hamstrings and your knees in every single exercise you do, specially when your legs are stretched. You can also try this:Lay down on the floor with your legs vertically on the wall and tour toes pointing the ceiling. Start in sixth position, then turn to first and return to sixth. Do series of 10 to 20 times.
