Tights in comics

...1-DIRTY PAIR-SIM HELL (Adam Warren-Dark Horse-1993): An american adaptation of a Japanese Manga which features two scantily-clad female agents who always manage to complete their mission, but also always manage to ruin the planet in the process. In this story (a four-issue miniseries, BTW) the girls (Kei and Yuri) wear some beautifully-drawn hose, leos, and unis (Kei wears a silver bodystocking under a leather jacket-Woof Meow!), and stocking feet abound! yea, Adam Warren!

>>>2-SCHOOLMISTRESS MICHIYO (Dirty Matsumoto-Japanese publisher) A manga volume (collection of episodes from weekly magazines) featuring the sexual misadventures of the jazz-dancing titular heroine. Downside: expensive (it's from Japan), heavy on rape scenes, impossible to read (unless you know how to read katakana & hiragana). Upside: This guy is definitely one of us! Michiyo and other female characters are almost NEVER seem without leos and tights on, and Matsumoto goes out of his way to create a beautiful wardrobe for them. Superb shading work (it's BW,) really puts a sock (or a pair of hose) in the art. Hard to get (ISBN4-88672-913-4) but worth the search! Quite the growler!

>>>3-TALES TO ASTONISH (Peter David & John Estes-Marvel comics): A great read (Peter David is one of the best superhero-comic writers in life,) but the star is the fully-painted art by John Estes, particularly his rendition of the perennial boy-crazy superheroine, the Wasp. Loving detail on the character's tights-clad legs and feet (she starts the story in a red leo and blue tights, then switches to this white footed unitard with gartered black stirrup legwarmers-ouch!>>>Still pawing through the collection! More to come!-Depon
