That does sound good, doesn't it? I may have made it sound too good, though.  

Perhaps I should put it a different way - they didn't literally dress me up (although they would hold open the nylon knee-highs or footies and the ballet slippers for me), they would bring out the various garments for me to examine with the knowledge that I would be wearing the items myself and they seemed to be having fun with it. That's what I meant.

I would tell the employees that I had to dress as a female for a particular role in a school or college play. I would act embarassed or reluctant and they would always "persuade" me into trying on different slippers and buying tights and leotards. It sounds ridiculous but it worked. Even now, sitting here typing this, I can't believe I did it.
