After the straight-man asks "why do you like tights?" the comic starts off by saying "Why do I like tights? (in astonishment)..." the routine goes on for about a minute or two then ends as follows... "and the reason I like elephants is .... because they DON'T take the number thirteen bus!" I did see it done once in a gay club in NYC in the late sixties, but instead of a girl, there was a guy who walked across stage just in tights.
