There are a couple of ballets where the men dance on pointe as well, as men.  One of them is "the dream" or something like that; am I correct and are there more?

Like you said, and I agree, pointe work doesnt necessarily accentuate where a Male Dancer (Mancer 8^) is typically very stong.  The male dancers character shows in his leaps, jumps, and lifts I agree.

Seemingly, every ballet I have seen (which are not many, I can count them on my thumbs 8^) the man assists in showing off the woman for a large majority of the dance.

Just a little investigation as to "who" has tried it and what they thought, how it was received etcetra.
