written by david at on 15.09. at 19:48:04 - as answer to: late beginner by alice alice, there are some exercises you can do to help your feet, when you start pointe. take a towel about 2 feet long, stand barefoot, at the edge, and use your toes to pull in the towel. next, use a wooden dowel to massage your feet. do this before you use the towel,before pointe class, and especially after pointe class. get a pair of wool legwarmers. they keep your leg muscles warmer than any other leg warmer. make sure you eat a balanced meal, to give you energy for pointe, and ballet. when you do your first turn on pointe, try with less force. work on placement, so on pointe, you are always on balance. have a great class, david>alice Answers to this message: |
