Of course none of us want a bad teacher no matter which stage we are at.  We all want a teacher who is constantly insisting on good technique, not just someone who says: "do this, do that".  The best thing to do in my opinion is to take a few private lessons where the teacher can teach you some "secrets".  I also recommend that you go to the bookstore and purchase some good books on ballet technique, read and practice.  This way no matter which studio you go to, and who your teacher is, you know what you are doing.
