There really is no alternative to the dancebelt for the male in ballet.

You need the support of the dancebelt.  It really is not so bad after you wear it for a while.  The alternatives you mention are just as constricting.

Go for the dancebelt.  Wear it and get used to it.  Don't think of it....just dance!
