Don't worry.  Buy a dancebelt; they are not that uncomfortable.

Most American jockstraps have a wide open sack that doesn't provide enough support.  In any type of dance you need to draw the testicles up out of the crotch area, so that when you do the quick scissor-like movements of the legs you won't injure yourself.  Don't pack yourself down into the crotch, wear everything up and out.  Bring the testicles up and point the penis up towards the belly-button.

Keep to these principles and you'll avoid injury.
