>>Hi. I have been dancing for 11 years now and I am 15 years old. Not until this year (about a weak ago) did they make a very advanced class for just about 9 of us. Anyway, with that comes another contract we have to sign and on the contract it says I have to wear" a white form fitting t shirt, black bike shorts or form-fitting jazz pants, plus other things. I have always worn a white t-shirt and black sweat pants which I am fine with. The problems I have is that I don't like tight clothing, because I don't like being confined (in any way), and the clothes are showing off stuff I'd rahter not show. With the form fitting t-shirt, it's like an unwritten rule that you shouldn't wear them unless you have like muscles to show off which I definately don't. I'm almost as skinny as you can get. Next, with the biker shorts. I don't even wanna go there because those are realllly small. And then with the form-fitting jazz pants, those are just tight and I don't care to wear them. My dilemma is that I want to continue dancing in this class, but I don't like the attire. What should I do?>>PS. Like I said, I am only 15 (only guy in the dance school) and I am friends with all the girls that are around my grade level that dance there. With the tight clothing it's like, "Hey! Look at my crotch!">certainly less revealing than what a swimmer wears, no? or wrestler? football players these days where 'tights' cutt off at the knees. Cylistst too.>Dance is like sport you have wear performance clothing. Many people would envy your position, but don't thing about it just concentrate on dance not The 'uniform' >I understand, my son is also a dancer. I believe during class loose clothing should be worn. At the age of fifteen, you don't need to show it all. Hormones are raging enough. I think you should talk to the person in charge and express you feeling. If that doesn't work, ask your parents to intervene. Best of luck.
