Dancebelt and Leotard, or Leo Alone?

As an adult beginner I've never had to wear a leotard before, nor have I cared to.  But I have chosen to participate in a recital, and the recital's dress code for males is a white, thong-backed leo with black tights.

What I don't know is whether I should wear my usual dancebelt under the leo, or whether the leo is sufficient to serve the functions of a dancebelt.    

I will be obliged if anyone cares to clue me in.  Thanks!
