Well, posssibly better than experience: I happened to get into aphone conversation with the head of M. Stevens a couple of years agoin the process of getting an answer to a question someone asked onalt.arts.ballet, & in the course of the conversation the question ofdyeing arose.  She told me that they used Rit, both on cotton/lycra &their special milliskin (nylon/lycra) fabric.  She said they used Ritbecause it was most free from potentially dangerous chemicals (thekind of things manufacturers have to worry about these days).  Sothere you have your answer.

Never tried it myself, but I assume that, as with cotton, you'd haveto do repeated rinses to make sure the color didn't run onto otherclothes, or onto you.
