So I'd suggest practicing staying up for as long as possible. It helps develop your sense of a centre of balance and strengthens your 'pull-up'. Then you can just turn as much as you like (remember to spot). I hope that makes sense, James :o) >Davy...>I have two additional suggestions: (1) the plie/preparation is important; and, (2) when you rise, it's important that the standing leg is straight (don't let the knee buckle or loosen), and make sure you have shifted your center over to a stable position on the standing leg.>You can practice these things at the barre, without turning.>Good Luck! BalletMaster>>I realize I am a relative beginner, but I am having difficulty doing mutiple pirouettes. I know it's practice, practice, practice, and I am spotting, but are there any tips I should be aware of that may have eluded me? Answers to this message: |
