What happened to the forum for serious dancers?

written by Boldstorm  on 01.06. at 15:57:52
When I first joined this board, it was a place where men could talk about their dance, about problems, questions, upcoming performances, frustrations etc, but the sad truth is that Forum 26541, aka known as "The Serious Male Dancer" reminds me way too much of the pissy queens at the local bar in town who glibly diss other people not of their ilk, while they stand and model. Take a moment to go back and read previous posts from earlier this year and last year. Honestly, when last was this a board about dance? Waaaaay to long ago!

I'm a dancer (and for those who would like to attack, I happen to be gay and OUT!) but want nothing more than to get to my studio to rehearse or onto a stage to perform. Yes, my art form is frustrating at times, and the politics involved is often unfair and leaves good people hurt, but that's life. I can be there for my friends as they are for me.

Let's get on with the business of dance instead of trashing other people. I've met some awesome people because of this forum, and have become great friends with a few. Can we quit hurling insults and throwing accusations, and get on with the business of dance?

John
