the male dancer

I do not feel feminine when I dance, although sometimes I think I have very feminine arms in ballet. I fel like I should change them, but my teacher don't say anything. I think I just picked up some bad habits over time, and I have to work to correct them. Dancing for me, isn't about sexuality, it's about expressing emotions through movement. If someone is in a dance class trying to be sexual I'm not sure I would want to take class with them. Hi Brian!>I didn't mean your sexuality in means of everyday life...I was referring to expressing male sexuality in dance.>So often, men are trained in styles meant for females, and some of the movements taught by well-meaning female teachers may not be for the male.>It was hard for me to adapt the movements of my first teacher to my own beliefs of what a male dansuer should be. I guess that's why I left and searched out other teachers.>Sorry if there was a misunderstanding.>balletboy Answers to this message:
