Hi Brian!

You are dealing with what every male danseur has to deal with....

We have many different teachers...mostly female.  We are faced with expressing ourselves, emotions or male sexuality or both, through our dance.  But we rarely have the experience of a teacher who shows us how to express what we, the danseur, needs to express.

I hope that's why this board exists and continues, for that forum.

For me, my emotions and my male sexuality are entwined.  I need to dance with the flourish that shows all parts of me.  I've been fortunate in being able to take private classes, usually expensive, where I can discuss with the teacher what I want to express and get ideas and coaching to achieve that, besides the individual corrections in my technique.

I did not start early enough to be a professional danseur, and didn't have the family support to be a ballet danseur.  But I have continued for many years in ballet for myself.

I appreciate all men who never realized the dream that I didn't realize, but continue to pursue the art of ballet.  Ballet has given me opportunities to be the person deep down inside, and express parts of me that my profession suppresses, that most male life suppresses.

I've gone on a bit afar, and probably expressed ideas that don't apply to you Brian.  But I hope that any male who reads our discussion will be able to take your and my concepts of dance and find what may apply to them.  I hope you will join me in the desire to reach guys like us with insights into the male desire to dance.
