>>>Hey is there anymore 11 or whatever yr old dancers in here>>Be VERY VERY careful about what you say in here.  THIS IS A DANGEROUS PLACE FOR SOMEONE WHO IS 11.  There are two things that you should do:>>1.  NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS.>>2.  NEVER ANSWER ANYONE WHO INVITES YOU TO EMAIL THEM.>>Just scroll down this forum and read the email.  A lot of the messages in this forum are from men who aren't interested in dance, but they would be very, very interested in YOU!>Friend, your advice to DnCrBoi is obviously well-intentioned and right on the mark for somebody so young. BUT, please do not stereotype men who may have an erotic interest in male dancers, or male dancewear, as pedophiles. Some who post on this board may well be, but it is unfair--and, I am trusting, unintentional--of you to condemn everyone with a broad stroke. Thank you for your concern; it would be tragic if this young dancer had a terrible experience stemming from his posting on this board.

I certainly don't consider everyone who posts here to be a pedophile, yet I have read messages in these Parsimony forums from men who are unabashed pedophiles or borderline pedophiles.  Their existence here, in this unmoderated environment, poses a terrible risk to DnCrBoi.  There's no way for anyone to tell whether a message that seems innocent yet asks for a private response really is innocent or the start of an attempted seduction.

DnCrBoi, if you are still reading this thread, there are two websites  - www.balletalert.com and www.danceart.com - that have discussion groups for boys your age.  These groups are monitored.  The only adults that can join are the monitors and a couple of other people that have been approved.  You'll be happier and safer there.
