years ago, and one of the more interesting replies was a suggestionto try an industrial-grade soap called Go-Jo. I found some at anauto supply store. (Had to resist the temptation to tell them whyI wanted it. ) It works about as well as anything I've tried.In recent years I've been taking class in a studio with remarkablyclean floors, and the shoes wear out before they get seriously dirty.Tom Parsons
