I feel like I'm 20% stronger when I take it. Better endurance, higher jump, etc. But I cannot take it often. Textbook endocrinology tells us: The direct biologic activity of androgens (androstenedione, DHEA and DHEA sulfate) is MINIMAL, and they function primarily as precursors for peripheral conversion to the active androgenic hormones testosterone and dihydrotestosterone. HOWEVER, in males with normal gonadal function, the conversion of adrenal androstenedione to testosterone accounts for less than 5% of the production of testosterone, and thus the physiologic effect is NEGLIGIBLE. The body will only convert a small amount of androgens to testosterone, and only if it needs it, up to normal levels, no more. In adult males, excessive androgen, whether by adrenal production or by external sources such as injection or tablet, has NO CLINICAL CONSEQUENCES. Hence, if you believe that taking androgens before class helps improve your strength in jumps, you either do not have normal male gonadal function or it's a placebo effect. Answers to this message:
