Dea and I are actually going through something similar (Dea's older sister has just been given six months-Hepatitis C and liver failure, one dreadful c0mbination...) it's been awful for me, even worse for Dea, but we're dealing with it with a new sense of togetherness. I hope you have something similar to help you through. I can't agree more with your last statements. I hope (and, from what you've written, trust) that you will c0me through this relatively unscathed, and the closest thing to prayer this agnostic can offer is with you.
